Immigration Attorney - Luz Metz

I enjoy working with individuals, families, and businesses on immigration related matters. I use my knowledge of economics, law, history, and psychology to understand the legal, human, and political contexts of each client's legal problems and needs. I bring skill, energy, and passion to find solutions for people of different countries and cultural backgrounds to obtain legal status in the United States.

I am originally from Colombia where I studied law earned a earned a Masters of Business Administration. I have been practicing as an immigration attorney in the U.S since 2013 know first-hand the immigration process from legalization to naturalization.

I volunteer for the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) program and am a member of the National Women MBAs and the Latina Bar Association. I am also a proud member of AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association), which allows me to continuously learn to be a better immigration attorney daily and I have served on numerous committees of AILA. I have also served as a panelist for numerous imigration conferences such as the 2019 Immigration Law Conference at Seattle University School of Law.

When I have free time, I enjoy playing the piano, reading, dancing and listening to music, gardening, and spending time with my family.

Paralegal, Marketing Coordinator, and Notary Public - Yadira Morales

I joined Metz Law Group as a paralegal and marketing coordinator in 2015 after having previously worked at another immigration law firm.

Prior to becoming an immigration paralegal, I owned an operated a successful business in retail where I worked with many national organizations.

I am originally from Mexico City and also know firsthand the process towars legalization. My passion for immigration law is driven by my own personal past struggles with legalization, which is why I changed my career to immigration law after having previously studied dental hygiene and small business marketing.

I am a fierce advocate for survivors of sexual abuse, which has helped me undersand the deepor story of our many U-Visa and Waiver cases. I speak to community groups on the importance of and procedure for reporting sex crimes.

Outside of Metz Law Group, I love spending time doing fun outdoor activities with my family. I also love to dance, cook, learn new things, support the empowerment of women.

Paralegal - Laura Solis

I joined Metz Law Group in August 2020. Prior to Metz Law Group, I worked as a paralegal and legal assistant in family law for eight years. I am a graduate of Edmonds College, where I obtained my Associate of Technical Arts Paralegal degree.

Although, my legal experience has been primarily in family law, most of the skills I’ve acquired are transferable to the immigration field. During my previous roles as a paralegal, I had the opportunity to work directly with clients from all backgrounds. I work on each case as if it were my own - demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism, while still ensuring empathy and trust in client relationships.  What I enjoy most about my work is assisting clients in finding solutions.

My experience with diverse communities goes beyond professional engagement. My parents are immigrants and I grew up in California’s agricultural valley. Not only do I understand the struggles of immigrants or marginalized communities, I have lived them.  Moreover,

When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with family, participating in yoga and tennis, involved in church events, and rooting for the Mariners!

I am excited by the opportunity to help you achieve your immigration goals, by using my experience to support the Metz Law Group team.
