FOIA: Freedom of Information Act

Under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), a person is able to obtain their entire immigration record, another person's immigration record; or. Non-A-File information such as USCIS policies, data, or communications.

While there is no charge to process this service directly with immigration, our office charges a small fee to notarize necessary forms and process full requests with the following departments:

  • Deparment of Homeland Security and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service

  • Customs and Border Patrol

  • Immigration and Cusoms Enforcement

  • Office of Biometric Identity Management

  • Executive Office for Immigration Review

Our fee includes a full request of the immigration FOIA, Federal, and WA State background check.

Fingerprinting for FOIA and Background Check

When our clients hire us to obtain their immigration records, we not only request from immigration but also from The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Washington State Patrol (WSP). Our staff is trained to perform fingerprinting services accepted immigration and the FBI for the purposes of background checks. There are times when many immigration encounters are reported to the FBI which we would be able to see before an immigration record is obtained.
